    IT Programs @ AAMC

The Information Technology (IT) Department at Al Ain Men's College (AAMC) offers IT Programs at the Diploma, the Higher Diploma, and the Bachelors of Applied Science levels. Students in those programs experience a combination of theory, practical training, and on the job experience. Students are also prepared for the challenges of communicating effectively within a global environment through extensive preparation in oral and written English.

A positive work attitude and the ability to work effectively as a member of a team are key attributes developed by students in the Information Technology Programs. The IT Programs have been developed in consultation with employers and are regularly reviewed and updated to keep up with the pace of technology and the local employers' needs.

    Diploma in Information Technology

This program is designed to produce graduates with adequate basic information technology skills and vocational competencies as to be employable at entry level in the UAE. This is a two year program and students enrolling in this program should successfully complete the Diploma Foundations year. An exit requirement of the program is that students achieve a Band 4.5 in the IELTS GT examination.

    Higher Diploma in Information Technology

The mission of the Information Technology (General) Higher Diploma Program is to educate secondary school graduates who are nationals of the United Arab Emirates in the skills, knowledge and practice of information technology. This program prepares them for further studies at Bachelor level as well as train them to become information technologists with knowledge of core information technologies in programming, networking, database and web development. The program promotes English communications, leadership, teamwork, critical thinking, and problem solving skills so that graduates can work effectively in an international environment, able to adapt and respond to opportunities in information and communication industries. This is a three year program and students enrolling in this program should successfully complete the Higher Diploma Foundations year. Back to top

    Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Network Technology

This program is designed to produce graduates with adequate basic business skills and vocational competencies as to be employable at entry level in the UAE. This is a two year program and students enrolling in this program should successfully complete the Diploma Foundations year.
